Grief is a natural and complex emotional response to loss. While there is no single "right" way to grieve, there are some common feelings and experiences that many people have when dealing with the death of a loved one:


 Shock and Numbness

- You may initially feel in a state of shock or disbelief, as if the loss isn't real. This numbness can help protect you as you process what has happened.


 Sadness and Depression

- Profound sadness is one of the most universal symptoms of grief. You may feel empty, despair, loneliness, and have frequent crying spells. Some people experience clinical depression.


 Anger and Guilt

- It's normal to feel angry at the person who died, at others, or even at yourself. Guilt is also common, even if you know rationally you couldn't have prevented the death.


 Physical Symptoms

- Grief can manifest physically as well, with symptoms like fatigue, nausea, lowered immunity, weight loss or gain, aches and pains.


 Difficulty Concentrating

- Grieving can make it hard to focus, remember things, or make decisions. Your mind may feel foggy.


 Longing and Yearning

- You may strongly feel the urge to see, hear or touch the person who died. Vivid dreams or hallucinations of them are not uncommon.


 Relief
